‘Galaxies of Hope’ app launched to provide support to NET cancer patients

Novartis has launched another app, Galaxies of Hope, which uses visual storytelling combined with real patients’ and professionals’ voices to help highlight the plight of NET cancer sufferers, and to further our understanding and management of it. Neuroendocrine Tumour (NET) cancers are usually found in the lungs, gastrointestinal tract and pancreas, and develop from cells that produce and secrete hormones that regulate bodily functions.

Executive vice president and head of US oncology at Novartis, Ameet Mallik, said: We believe that this app can have a real, positive impact in the NET cancer community and we hope the creation of this virtual patient journey experience for the NET cancer community will provide support to those living with this rare disease and those who manage and care for them.”
