Sanofi and Revolution Medicines Launch global partnership
Sanofi and Revolution Medicine will enter into an exclusive partnership to develop treatments for patients with cancers that carry certain mutations.
Joining forces will enable Sanofi to use their expertise in research and development and build on Revolution Medicine’s preclinical development of RMC-4630; their lead inhibitor of SHP2.
SHP2 inhibitors are designed to reduce cell growth signalling in overactive cancers. Both parties will contribute to the research and development with Revolution taking the lead.
‘We have made great progress in identifying the role of SHP2 in cancer and advancing RMC-4630 into clinical development’ said president and CEO of Revolution Mark Goldsmith. ‘Collaborating with Sanofi demonstrates our continued commitment to developing new therapies for patients living with cancer and allows us to continue the research and development into oncology research.’
