Sysmex America and Advanced Instruments collaborate on automated CSF cell counting

Sysmex America is to be the sole distributor of Advanced Instruments’ GloCyte system for cerebrospinal fluid cell counting across the US, Canada and Latin America. The automated system can provide incredibly reliable and precise linear counts down to zero for both total nucleated cell and red blood cell in cerebrospinal fluid in all patients. It achieves this by using microscopy with digital image analysis, fluorescence, highly specific reagents together with an intelligent counting algorithm.
