OHF approves remineralisation toothpaste

Biomin F, the toothpaste that replaces lost tooth mineral, has become the first toothpaste to be approved by the Oral Health Foundation for its efficacy at sensitivity relief and remineralisation. The accreditation says: “By brushing at least twice daily (morning and night), the regular use of Biomin F toothpaste provides relief from dentine hypersensitivity and long-lasting protection against acid attack.”
The patented technology within Biomin F slowly releases calcium, phosphate and fluoride ions, forming a protective fluorapatite layer on the tooth surface and replacing lost tooth mineral. The product also has specific uses in the surgery as new research has shown that it penetrates deeply within the sub-surface of enamel lesions, with the capability of reversing and preventing early decay such as white spot lesions associated with orthodontic treatment.
