Dr. Monika Lessl appointed to lead two Bayer foundations

Dr. Monika Lessl, Vice President, Head of Corporate Innovation and R&D at Bayer, has been selected by the Board of Management to extend her remit to include both the Bayer Cares Foundation and the Bayer Science Foundation. The former focuses on employee engagement and social innovation whilst the latter focuses on research development, improvements in science education and the cultivation of scientific talent.
Dr. Lessl said: “I feel honoured to join the Foundation’s executive committee. The foundations offer a unique opportunity in shaping the future by nurturing new and emerging fields in science, driving social progress by working with social entrepreneurs and fostering the dialogue with all stakeholders on role and impact of innovation for the progress of our society.”
