Dechra launches new Ophthalmic Ointment
Dechra has launched Ophtocycline, a treatment to tackle eye aliments in cats, dogs and horses.
The treatment is an antibiotic ointment in a paraffin base with the active ingredient chlortetracycline, and is designed to treat keratitis, conjunctivitis and blepharitis.
Brand manager for Dechra Carol Morgan said “Veterinary professionals now have a targeted treatment that they can use to effectively tackle the growing and reproducing bacteria that is causing these eye conditions. “
The recommended dosage for Ophtocycline is four times a day for five days and the ointment holds a fourteen day shelf life.
