Capaltec launches HeightLight

The Belfast based technology company Capaltec Ltd has launched a new high-tech device for equine measurement. The new product called HeightLight was designed and engineered to deliver accuracy and dependability to the process of measuring horses and ponies for competition, passports and sale, and facilitates complete precision measurement by combining triangulation technology with proven mathematical theory. The compact handheld HeightLight provides the means to measure without distress, as opposed to approaching a horse or pony with a measuring stick or hand-measurements which can result in a hostile response.
Robert Park, Capaltec’s chief executive officer, said: “This is a world first innovation for the global equine market, bringing five years of extensive research and development to create an easy to use hand-held laser height measurement device. For too long, the industry has depended on inaccurate measurements for equine purchasing or competition.
