Bravecto gains EU CVMP approval for new mite indications

The European Commission’s committee for Medicinal Products for Veterinary Use has granted approval for additional indications to MSD’s antiparasite chew and spot on, Bravecto, for the treatment of demodectic mites (Demodex canis) and sarcoptic infestations (Sarcoptes scabiei variety canis) in dogs.

Prior to this, Bravecto, which has distributed over one-hundred million doses across eighty-five countries, provided a strategy for the control of flea allergy dermatitis and had a sole purpose to provide protection against tick and flea infestations.
