The CPCS has directed over ten thousand referrals since its initial launch

Since its initial introduction in late October, the Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS) has witnessed over ten thousand referrals to community pharmacy from NHS one-one-one.

England’s Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, Keith Ridge, stated: “The uptake has been massive and it has already taken 10’s of 1000’s of referrals in its first few weeks, and I’m pleased to report that the service is proving safe and effective. This really is impressive and will continue to build confidence in the capability of the sector to take on further clinical responsibilities.”
