BVA develops online tools to prevent the smuggling of puppies

The British Veterinary Association (BVA) has developed a new set of online resources to help direct practitioners through the reporting process to authorities of alleged illegal transportation of pets, thus helping to measure the number of puppies smuggled into Britain.

Currently, some various practises notice illicit importation of puppies, however, according to anecdotal evidence, veterinary workers are wary of breaking consumer confidentiality laws or are unaware of how to disclose their concerns to authorities.
