Veterinary infection control expert states to work hard to treat sick animals
Since of the coronavirus, it was suggested by a leading veterinary infection control expert that the veterinary profession should work hard to decide how to treat sick animals.
Former President of the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation and European College of Zoological Medicine, Neil Forbes, believes that if people are isolating themselves, veterinary practices are not going to be able to look after the ill animals. Furthermore, Forbes believes that it wouldn’t be the right decision for an animal to come into a veterinary hospital, where its owner has been infected with COVID-19.
