The PSNC reveals that pharmacies may have to close to administer flu vaccinations

11th August 2020

The Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC) has revealed that due to the extension of this year’s flu vaccination schedule, pharmacies may close to administer vaccinations for a portion of the day if the government permits.

The additional need for capacity follows the government’s expansion to the 2020/2021 flu vaccination programme in England, which will include children in the first year of secondary school, families of those on the shielded patient list and those aged fifty to sixty-four years old, from November this year at the earliest.
