Pharmacy contractors will be paid an additional fifty pence per flu vaccine
The Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC) has announced that pharmacy contractors will be paid an additional fifty pence per flu vaccine delivered under the national service in 2020/21. This will take the price per flu vaccine from nine pounds fifty-eight pence to ten pounds and eightpence, but the increased payment will be covered by the adjustment fund, already negotiated as part of the 2019/20 to 2023/24 Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework.
The PSNC has also reported on its website that, in addition to the approved eight hundred million million pounds of medicines under the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework, community pharmacy will be allowed to maintain up to one million pounds of drugs margin for flu vaccinations administered beyond the amount in the usual year.
