GSK’s CEO is hopeful that a COVID-19 vaccine will be available next year

Emma Walmsley, Chief Executive Officer of GlaxoSmithKline ( GSK), hopes that next year, following the collaboration with Sanofi on the COVID-19 vaccine project, the COVID-19 vaccine will be commonly available to provide an adjuvant to be used with the recombinant protein-based vaccine candidate from Sanofi.

Lately, vaccine developers have been moving at extraordinary speed to develop a successful vaccine targeting SARS-CoV-2. Despite this speed being impressive given the current conditions, experts have raised concerns in regard to ensuring the safety of any potential vaccine.
