Doctor Care Anywhere has expanded into the Republic of Ireland

20th October 2020

After signing an agreement that allows it to offer digital health services to one of the UK’s Big Four retail banks, Doctor Care Anywhere (DCA), a digital health provider, has expanded into the Republic of Ireland healthcare sector.

In the Republic of Ireland, DCA patients will have access to virtual GP facilities, such as being able to arrange appointments with doctors registered with the Irish Medical Council, as well as being able to pick up medicine from their nearest pharmacy prescribed by DCA GPs.

In addition, DCA patients will be able to book a twenty-minute video and phone GP consultation, as well as request certified fit notes and specialist referral letters, which can be submitted to their employer.

Chief Executive Officer, Doctor Care Anywhere, Dr Bayju Thaker, stated: “We are delighted to have entered a partnership to support one of the UK’s leading retail financial services player – to ensure their employees are able to access the excellent medical care and support that they need from our highly skilled clinicians, especially during this difficult time of the Coronavirus pandemic. Our entry into the Republic of Ireland is an integral part of the business’s future growth plans. We are excited to bring innovative new services to this healthcare market through one of our valued channel partners, transforming employees’ health and wellbeing and are pleased that there has already been a high activation rate among individuals who have access to our service.”
