akt health communications starts 2021 with three new hires to support continued growth
akt health communications today announced the appointment of three new hires to support the agency’s continued growth into 2021. Launched in May 2018, the agency has gone from ‘interesting start up’ to being recognised as a leading healthcare communications agency delivering award-winning work across PR, patient advocacy and patient experience. The hires bring akt health to a team of nine specialist professionals.
The new hires include Heather Tarplee, previously at Freuds, who joins as Senior Account
Director and brings a wealth of healthcare PR experience – leading large teams to deliver
high-profile national health campaigns for public sector clients including Public Health
England, Department of Health and Social Care, and NHS England.
Commenting on Heather’s appointment, Founding Director, Katy Foy said: “Heather is an
exceptionally talented communications professional who will undoubtedly add value to our
offering and support akt in continuing to deliver award-winning results for our clients. Her
appointment marks the first significant senior hire since setting up the agency in 2018 and will
support us in maintaining the strong growth we have seen to date.”
Heather is joined by Meera Shingadia and Alice Gold who join as Graduate Account
Executives.
