Sartorius is expanding its presence in Michigan

A leading international partner of biopharmaceutical and life science research, Sartorius, is expanding its presence in Michigan with a new 130,000 square-foot plant in Ann Arbor.

Sartorius will have a flagship facility in North America and an anchor presence in the Tech Loop at the Ann Arbor Research Park. To that aim, the firm has bought approximately 15 acres of property, which will allow it to expand further. Over three years, the initiative is anticipated to generate 160 jobs. Product development, operations, and other support activities will be among the positions available.

President of Sartorius North America, Mary Lavin, stated: “The new facility will consolidate existing business operations in Washtenaw County to create a centre of excellence in Ann Arbor for the Laboratory and Bioprocess Products and Services in North America, which focus on providing innovative solutions to help customers develop drugs that cure, prevent, and halt the progression of diseases.”
