Almost 2000 Unvaccinated Dentists in Italy Have Been Removed from Work

27th January 2022

After a law passed in Italy stating all people who provide healthcare treatment and advice must have received all three vaccinations, many dentists and doctors have been temporarily removed from their medical organisations.

This law extends to everyone over 50 years of age, as well as members of the police, teachers, care providers and those in the military.

Just shy of 2000 dental professionals and doctors (almost 0.5% of people in this industry) have been abstained from working. There are approximately 30,000 additional workers in this bracket that have not achieved full vaccination status, but the stats may be misleading as they haven’t considered why they remain unvaccinated. For example, due to health issues or a positive Covid 19 test.

One dental professional used a prosthetic arm to try and avoid being vaccinated last year. The nurse providing the service realised something was amiss because his skin seemed “too light, rubbery and chilly.” He has now had his vaccine.
