The TurboVap® 96 Dual Evaporator

Biotage has declared the release TurboVap® 96 Dual, with two distinct and individually regulated evaporation chambers. This new product is an adaptation of the original range of Biotage TurboVap®.

The new model has been developed to allow increased well-plate evaporation. Consumers can execute the same procedure on two plates at the same time, or two separate evaporations, meaning they can create twice the output.

The TurboVap® 96 Dual can conduct solvent evaporation for well plates that have 24, 48, or 96 wells, with evaporating capabilities from microliters to ten millilitres in each dip. The device increases the temperature at the base via convection with managed quantities of nitrogen from above. The vapour gets trapped by the device because the pressure inside is less than that of the surrounding environment. One of the unique selling points for the product is its compact design; it can slot into a typical chemical fume hood and has an integrated touchscreen.
