New medical communications division formed by Healthware
Healthware Group, a health innovation and technology specialist, has added another component to its business with the introduction of a devoted medical communications and education division.
Dubbed Healthware MedComms, the new unit promises to take a fresh approach to medical communications that meet the evidence-driven, audience-centric demands of today’s clinical situation.
It adds to Healthware’s rapidly growing occupancy in the healthcare communications sector, driven by a number of acquisitions, including Argon Global Healthcare, SWM, pharmaphorum and Make Helsinki.
Francis Namouk, a co-founder of SWM, who has been serving as global head of virtual customer experiences at Healthware, is said to be leading Healthware MedComms.
According to Healthware, the tactic taken by the new division will be to partner with clients to reimagine scientific exchange by interpreting complex and new science into engaging, digestible learning experiences, which healthcare professionals can implement to improve patient results.
A new approach is required because medical teams are transitioning to a new strategic role within pharma organisations due to healthcare patients and professionals increasingly insisting on more access to evidence-based scientific material.
Chief executive Roberto Ascione has stated, “We have been supporting our clients with Medical Communications for over twenty-five years through the Advisory and Agency division of the Healthware Group. It’s time to adapt our offering to better align with the evolving needs of our clients and deepen our partnership with the MedComms community. We are huge advocates for the positive impact digital communications can have on healthcare professionals and believe that these solutions can help them fill educational gaps to improve the delivery of care for patients.”
