Former NHS deputy director of comms appointed at Hanover
A former deputy director of communications at NHS England, James Mole, has been appointed as a director at Hanover Communications.
James Mole’s previous work consisted of the head of media at NHS England during the earliest part of the pandemic; this involved providing counsel to NHS leaders, supporting the Downing Street press conferences and dealing with thousands of journalist enquiries.
He will be leading several pharmaceutical accounts at Hanover, which has recently reported that business has tripled over the last couple of years. It was predicted that, by 2027, the size of the consultancy will have doubled.
Deputy managing director at Hanover Health, Alex Davies, has stated that Mole “brings a peerless level of media experience to the table and will provide invaluable insight to clients wanting to tell a powerful story and breakthrough.”
With 15 years of experience across healthcare charities, government and parliament, George Butterworth has also been hired as a senior account director at Hanover. At the Department of Health and Social Care, he has recently developed a new smoking termination strategy for England. He has worked with charities, including Cancer Research UK, Diabetes UK and the Alzheimer’s Society.
Hanover Health has employed 200 full-time staff in offices worldwide, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Dublin and London. Revenue in 2021 was twenty-five million pounds.
