Guardant Gears up for Merck Collaboration

In a bid to accelerate the progression of precision cancer treatments, Guardant Health has entered into a collaboration with Merck KGaA.

The GuardantINFORM real-world evidence (RWE) platform will be used by the businesses to further the development of Merck’s precision cancer pipeline. The alliance will concentrate on the manufacture of treatments for signs of cancer that do not yet have medical requirements met.

In the most recent agreement, Merck will work with Guardant’s data scientists on a variety of therapeutic development initiatives that make use of the genomes and clinical data accessible through GuardantINFORM.

The GuardantINFORM platform offers biopharma associates a computer simulation combining genetic data from the Guardant360’s fluid phase biopsy with clinical data collected from the same respondents who will remain unidentified.

This strategy assists in speeding up the research and development of upcoming treatments for cancer.

The data collected for the strategy consists of information from more than 225,000 individuals with locally advanced, stage 4 cancer and offers a practical understanding of how cancer therapies are utilised in clinics, the development of tumours, and drug resistance over a course of care.
