Engineering UK Uncover a growing need for ‘Green’ Engineering roles

Engineers are expected to be in greater demand than other professions, and the number of openings for “green engineering” across the UK has climbed by 55%.

Recent evaluation has revealed that the number of engineering job advertisements citing a “green skill” has jumped by 48% to 212,000.

Engineers play a crucial part in the creation of strategies to help combat climate change.”Green” positions may be found in a variety of engineering fields, from structural and industrial to computing and programming, demonstrating how widely these abilities are put to use, and how crucial they are to the economy.

Dr Hilary Leevers, CEO stated that “given the soaring demand for engineers across all sectors, it’ s essential that the UK has a robust plan and funding in place to train the future workforce, bringing more young people from all backgrounds into engineering and technology, alongside reskilling the current workforce.”
