Babcock International & EngineeringUK Collaborate to Encourage Careers in Engineering

Babcock International Group has become a Corporate Associate of EngineeringUK to support their ongoing efforts to motivate young people to pursue careers in engineering. STEM education begins in elementary schools and continues through secondary education, university, and apprenticeships.

In addition to joining the EngineeringUK partners network, Babcock, which already has a group of more than 550 trained STEM representatives, will make a contribution to an investigation on STEM participation and give a distinct perspective on the entrance challenges in sectors like engineering and technology.

President of Babcock, David Lockwood stated, “We’re delighted to be partnering with EngineeringUK. Increasing our outreach STEM programmes in a strategic and targeted way will enable us to attract and build a workforce that has the capability to deal with the ever-evolving complex challenges our customers face.”
