Bristol Myers Squibb announces appointment
Global pharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb have announced the appointment of David Johnson as president of their subsidiary company, ConvaTec.
Mr Johnson will be responsible for the company’s worldwide operations, overseeing its manufacturing and distribution of ostomy and wound therapy products.
His appointment reflects an impressive array of previous experience at Bristol-Myers Squibb, including positions at Zimmer from 1996 of “increasing responsibility” and then, at ConvaTec, as vice president of North America and senior vice president of global commercial operations.
“David brings strong leadership skills to this important position along with the proven ability to manage global operations” John Celentano, president of the Bristol-Myers Squibb health care group, said.
“His knowledge and experience will continue to further strengthen and grow the ConvaTec business on a global basis and inspire excellence among colleagues around the world.”
Bristol-Myers Squibb employs 42,000 people and has global sales revenues of $19.2 billion.
