Pfizer UK wants sales force to be the “most effective”
Pfizer UK has appointed TNS Healthcare to provide monthly sales data and analytical services after a “detailed” review process.
As well as providing Pfizer’s UK subsidiary with sales information, TNS Healthcare will also collate data to offer insights into GP trends at practice-level in order to tailor national and local sales strategies, while brand performance will also be tracked in order to measure and reward sales effectiveness.
Dorothy Knightley, TNS Healthcare UK’s managing director, spoke of her “delight” that Pfizer had selected the company.
TNS Healthcare stated its belief that its advanced modelling techniques could have been an important factor in clinching the deal.
Pfizer UK’s sales director, Philip Watt, said the partnership would enhance his company’s sales capabilities.
He remarked: “Our vision for our UK sales force is to be the most effective in the industry.”
“To achieve this goal, we will need the best tools available. One critical tool of our trade is accurate sales data,” he added.
Last month, Pfizer UK announced that Exubera had become the first inhaled insulin for the treatment of diabetes types one and two to become available in the UK. It is also the only currently available alternative to mealtime insulin injections.
Pfizer UK employs approximately 6,900 staff with around 900 based at its Walton Oaks headquarters, which won an award from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
