Medtronic announces release of Paceart system
Medtronic has announced the launch of its Paceart system to provide clinicians with a new solution aimed at the management of cardiac rhythm patients.
The system allows access to implantable device data through its support for SessionSync diskless data transfer between the company’s CareLink Programmer and the Paceart system, in addition to the system and electronic health records through industry standard protocols.
SessionSync transfer uses a secure wired or wireless network interface to abolish the need for floppy diskettes or other storage media to reduce the likelihood of human error and enhance efficiency in file transfer.
Julie Foster, vice president of marketing for the cardiac rhythm disease management at Medtronic, said: “Paceart supports the care and long-term management of patients with heart rhythm disorders by serving as a central hub for accessing patient care information and device performance data.”
She added that the product is one that can aid the efficiency of work for clinicians looking to analyse, store and retrieve data from cardiac devices implanted in patients.
Earlier this month, Medtronic announced that it was listed 72nd on the 100 Best Companies to Work For list by Fortune Magazine, having been listed eight times in the last decade.
