ProStrakan appoints chief financial officer

ProStrakan has announced the appointment of Paul Garvey as chief financial officer of the firm. Mr Garvey will replace Adrian Gardener in the role.

Mr Garvey, a chartered accountant, was most recently employed by Axis-Shield in Scotland as a group finance director. A chartered accountant, he has over 25 years experience in a range of senior finance positions. He is currently a non-executive director of Inion Oy.

Adrian Gardner will remain at ProStrakan for a number of months to complete a number of continuing projects and to ensure a smooth transition to Mr Garvey.

Dr Wilson Totten, chief executive officer of ProStrakan, said: “I am delighted to appoint Paul into this pivotal role.

“His experience and strengths will be key assets in continuing the growth of the business.”

He added that Mr Gardner had been a vital member of staff involved in helping the company grow to its current financial position and is in receipt of the full support of the board of directors as he continues his career elsewhere.

In February 2007, ProStrakan announced the appointment of Callum Spreng as communications director at the firm. Mr Spreng joined the firm from SMG where he was employed as communications director from 1998.
