Mettler Toledo launches Rainin pipettes

Mettler Toledo has launched a range of Rainin pipettes, which include BioClean tips.

Made and packaged under clean-room conditions, the products are now available for the first time in the UK and aim to reduce pipetting forces.

The Rainin range also allow for precise and accurate pipetting, which will consequently lower the incidence of hand injuries.

Laboratorytalk states: "Pipet-Lite models are available with the revolutionary LTS LiteTouch tip ejection system – which cuts forces by up to 70 per cent – or a traditional conical shaft, which reduces forces by 30 per cent."

It adds that Rainin Classic pipettes have "an ergonomic handle and fingerhook to prevent fatigue, a quick-release tip and lighter springs". This should decrease forces by about 25 per cent, it continued.

In related news, Mettler Toledo is to make a presentation at the Merrill Lynch Global Industries Conference in London on Wednesday May 9th.
