Qiagen announces strategic partnership with Biomatrica

Qiagen has signed a licence and marketing agreement with Biomatrica for distribution of room temperature DNA storage technology.

The agreement is set to expand on Qiagen’s ability to provide solutions for biological storage and sample-management systems.

Qiagen will exclusively market rights for existing products and will see licensed products-use expanded for purification and stabilised DNA for any kind of downstream application in all markets.

Judy Muller-Cohn, chief executive officer of Biomatrica, added that the partnership is an "ideal arrangement" for marketing Biomatrica’s new products for DNA stabilisation.

Qiagen specialises in sample and assay technologies and boasts a portfolio of more than 500 products and laboratory solutions.
