Anachem launches Gilson Automated GX-271 Clean-Up system

The Gilson Automated Gx-271 Clean-up System gel permeation chromatography (GPC) is now available from Anachem.

GPC clean-up is an extraction method necessary for removing interfering substances like proteins, fats, lipids and complex polymers from food, tissue soil and water samples.

Anachem states that this process is "fundamental", as unwanted compounds can hinder pharmaceutical analysis and lead to poor laboratory results.

The life science consumables instrumentation distributor adds the system can use a variety of compatible GPC columns and is available in two configurations.

Anachem continues that the GX-271 meets government standards and can be seen as an "affordable solution" for performing residue analysis of complex matrices.

The company’s links with Gilson date back to when one of its founder members was part of the company.

In 1972 Anachem launched the Gilson pipetman, which has been described as the world’s first adjustable pipette.
