Board changes at Andor Technology
Dr Hugh Cormican has stepped down as head of Andor Technology.
The departure was confirmed earlier this week, with Dr Cormican having spent 18 years at the company’s helm.
Dr Cormican recently stepped down from his role as chief executive to director for strategic development with responsibility for assessing strategic opportunities alongside other board members.
He told newsletter.co.uk that while he is optimistic for its future, he felt that it was time for a change.
Dr Cormican said: "I’ve every confidence that Andor will grow and develop further as a business and I am proud to have been associated with the company for almost 20 years. But you have to let go at some stage.”
Bryan Keating, chairman of the company, added that Andor has been "extremely fortunate" to have had someone of Dr Cormican’s "experience and calibre" to lead the business.
Andor has headquarters in Belfast and employs more than 160 staff with distribution to about 40 countries.
