Sigma Aldrich announces launch of new detection kit

12th June 2007

Sigma-Aldrich has announced the launch of new kit designed to identify phosphorylated proteins.

The new Phosdecor Fluorescent Phosphoprotein In-Gel Kit incorporates a number of elements, including a PhosDecor Stain that is phosphate specific, in addition to a positive control and buffers.

"As a global leader in life science and high technology, Sigma-Aldrich Corporation is strongly committed to making a difference in the quality of life in the communities in which we have a significant presence," said the Sigma-Aldrich Foundation on its website.

"We demonstrate that commitment by ensuring that competitively-priced, leading edge products reach research scientists around the globe on time and as promised," it added.

In diseases such as cancer – and in conditions such as obesity – changes to phosphoproteins have been implicated.
