Andor Technology enters third-party deals

Andor Technology has entered into agreements with two third-party vendors, it has been revealed.

The firm states that it is now to distribute a number of products from the manufacturers worldwide.

Headwall Photonics’ range of Raman Explorer spectrographs and the ImSpector from Finland-based Specim Spectral Imaging are to be added to Andor Technology’s distribution list.

Market development manager Dr Colin Coates explains: "We can now also offer our customers other specialist spectrographs through global distribution and teaming agreements with third parties.

"We have spent some time evaluating these solutions from Headwall and Specim and their spectrographs are fully supported and integrated with our detectors."

The announcement was made at the World of Photonics Laser 2007 conference in Hamburg.

Over 1,000 companies exhibited at the trade fair, according to the organiser, with a ten per cent increase in visitors since 2005 leading to attendance figures of more than 25,000 delegates.
