Bristol-Myers Squibb signs licensing and support deal with DynoChem

DynoChem, the US subsidiary of Dublin-based firm Performance Fluid Dynamics, has signed an international licensing and support collaboration agreement with Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Under the terms of this deal, Bristol-Myers Squibb will be able to extend the use of process modelling software from DynoChem across its research and development unit and for the scaling-up of its manufacturing segments.

Bristol-Myers Squibb reports that the use of operation modelling will facilitate the more efficient use its resources and skills to quickly resolve critical issues and thus deal with the numerous challenges involved in the increasing output of synthetic pharmaceutical processes.

Furthermore, DynoChem reports that use of its process modelling software will enable a speedier achievement of development goals at Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Dr Joe Hannon, managing director at Performance Fluid Dynamics, said: “We are pleased to have the opportunity to expand our relationship with [Bristol-Myers Squibb] and continue our commitment to their pharmaceutical product development effort.”

He added that this deal confirms the success of DynoChem in helping its clients to accelerate their process development and reduce the costs involved in bringing therapies to market.

In March 2007, Bristol-Myers Squibb announced the establishment of collaboration agreements with Biocon and Accenture to broaden its research and development capabilities in India.
