Boston Scientific announces new board member
The company board of directors at Boston Scientific Corporation has announced the election of Ray Elliot as a new director.
Such a move sees Boston Scientific increase the number of board members to 15.
Mr Elliot boasts experience of both directorships and operating roles in orthopaedics, medical devices and other industries ranging over a number of years.
Currently chairman of the board at Zimmer Holdings, Mr Elliot has previously seen service as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Zimmer for six years commencing in 2001, prior to which he was president at the firm.
Pete Nicholas, chairman of the board of Boston Scientific, says: “Ray is a highly regarded health care industry executive who has successfully led complex global businesses for more than 20 years.
“He has a keen understanding of the role of technology in improving health outcomes and he will bring a wealth of valuable experience to our board. We are pleased to welcome Ray to Boston Scientific.”
