Leica Microsystems to sell former Vision BioSystems products

8th October 2007

Leica Microsystems has announced that it has signed a deal for the rights to sell products for the former Vision BioSystems.

According to the company, it will supply goods into the Swedish market in order to establish a stronger European sales organisation for the support of its diagnostics and pathology business.

Dr David Martyr, president of Leica Microsystems, stated that the acquisition of the market rights will enable the firm to offer its entire range of products through its own sales organisation in Sweden.

"Following many years of successful cooperation between Vision BioSystems and this trusted partner, we are delighted to have made this agreement and now look forward to working even more closely and directly with our end users in Sweden," he added.

The firm states that the signing of the purchase contract was announced on October 1st.

Last month, the firm announced the launch of its new M165 C and M205 C stereomicroscopes.
