BioMerieux partners Compliance Software Solutions Corporation

BioMerieux yesterday announced that it has signed a global sales representative agreement with Compliance Software Solutions Corporation (CSSC).

Under the terms of the deal, the firm reports that it will market environmental monitoring software – CSSC’s MIMS software together with bioMerieux’s VITEK 2 compact microbial identification system – for the pharmaceutical industry.

Corporate vice-president of industrial microbiology Alexandre Merieux commented the combination of CSSC and bioMerieux’s technology provides "a complete data management solution" for consumers.

"Environmental testing is critical to the production of safe, high-quality pharmaceuticals and we are pleased to partner with an industry leader such as CSSC," he added.

George M Levinson, president of CSSC, added that bioMerieux’s industry expertise and "dynamic" sales structure will provide CSSC with an "unparalleled" channel of distribution for its MIMS software.

In recent days, bioMerieux announced the launch of VIDAS NT-proBNP, an aid for the diagnosis and prognosis of heart failure.
