Thermo Fisher expands online resource centres

Thermo Fisher has announced the expansion of its range of online resource centres.

With two new web entry portals for X-ray and Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES), the world leader in serving science aims to provide essential tools and information for both existing users and industry professionals interested in X-ray and OES applications.

Designed for particular industries, the comprehensive new web resources mark a significant development for Thermo Scientific in the area of X-ray analysis for industrial and central laboratories carrying out materials characterisation and quality control analyses.

"These two innovative online web tools provide visitors with access to a complete overview of the Thermo Scientific X-ray and OES instrumentation and its applications in the metals, mining, cement and petrochemical industries," commented a spokesperson for the firm.

"In addition, users can download application notes and can sign up to receive specialist news resources including the popular Thermo Scientific Materials Analyst e-newsletter," added the representative.

Thermo Scientific recently announced its selection by the China Doping Control Centre to provide instruments and software for its sports testing programme at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
