Anachem introduces environmentally-friendly packaging

Anachem has packaged its new EarthSaver range of pipette tips in completely biodegradable material.

The company emphasised that this also includes the plastic tip racks and refill inserts, which are manufactured from a co-polyester that fully degrades in an environmentally safe manner.

The EarthSaver tip racks have a biodegradability of eight to 15 years and in addition are tested for heavy metals to ensure their ecological cleanliness.

Anachem also stated that the Earthsaver tips provide "quality liquid dispensing" and are available in a wide volume range with various tip options such as sterile racks, racked filter tips and the FastRack reload system.

The 100 per cent virgin polypropylene tips are manufactured for low wettability to ensure minimal sample retention and maximum precision.

Anachem produces laboratory instrumentation and consumables to scientists across a range of disciplines.

In particular it manufactures multichannel liquid handling pipettes and precision bioplastics.
