PerkinElmer launches next generation gamma counter

PerkinElmer has launched the WIZARD2 Automated Gamma Counter.

According to the company, this next generation gamma counter features a "user-friendly interface system and a package of technology advancements for academic, nuclear medicine and pharmaceutical research.

Advances on the Wizard Gamma Counter include a new touch screen, enhanced security options, a well-hole detector and a sophisticated robotic sample handling system.

Dr. Richard Eglen, president of Molecular Medicine, PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences, said: "In response to evolving customer needs, we have re-engineered the gamma workhorse, which has always been an integral part of the laboratory environment."
