Covance’s risk management plan is largest in the industry

Covance’s Risk Minimisation Action Plan (RiskMAP) is the largest in the world, it was announced at the seventh Annual Drug Information Agency Conference.

Data revealed at the Washington event showed that 300,000 patients registered with RiskMAP in its first year of operation.

The project aims to prevent pregnancies among women using an "important" but potentially high risk therapy.

The Food and Drug Administration also claimed that more than 50,000 pharmacies and approximately 250,000 providers are registered with the scheme.

Since the project’s inception, Covance has provided call centre services and stakeholder support to protect patient safety, in addition to tools and strategies to manage the safety profiles of products.
