Thermo Fisher Scientific’s M-PULSe system exceeds industry standard for accuracy
Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Thermo Scientific M-PULSe Multi-Path Ultrasonic liquid flow measurement system exceeds previous measurement standards for liquid petroleum products with an accuracy of better than ±0.10 per cent.
According to the company, this level of accuracy is "unmatched" and ensures less lost and unaccounted for product saving customers money.
Bill Summers, vice president and general manager with Thermo Fisher Scientific, added that the M-PULSe offers customers clear advantages and higher profitability in the face of rising petroleum prices.
"The transition from turbine flowmeters to ultrasonic flow measurement systems such as M-PULSe will enable liquid pipeline operators to easily account for more product, and we anticipate that the many advantages of the M-PULSe will continue to make it an attractive option for our valued customers," he added.
Other advantages of the M-PULSe system include its compact design, which allows customers to use a shorter pipe length for application, and the fact that its functionality is not reliant upon recalibration between products of varying viscosities maximising efficiency.
In related news, Thermo Fisher Scientific has opened a new facility in Adelaide, Australia.
The state of the art development marks an expansion of the company’s materials and minerals business.
