GSK to introduce talent measurement solution

18th March 2008

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is to go live with a web-based talent measurement solution, using workforce analytics technology to make the most of its investment in people and improve its decisionmaking, it has been claimed.

DoubleStar reports that GSK has rolled out its Workforce Insight OnDemand solution, which integrates a Staffing Dashboard that facilitates the unification of data from a number of systems into a single comprehensive view of worldwide recruitment work.

With this solution, GSK will have access to recruiting information that has an effect on day-to-day business operations in real time, including recruiter productivity, quality-of-hire and cost-per-vacancy.

Lou Manzi, vice-president of global recruitment at GSK, said: “DoubleStar’s solution has enabled GSK to take a more quantitative approach to managing recruiting.”

He added that prior to the introduction of this solution, the only means of measuring success was through rating internal customer satisfaction, while new credibility is given to the function of the business unit through the use of operational metrics.

In January 2008, GSK was named as one of the top employers in Canada by the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business and was also ranked as the top pharmaceutical employer for the second successive year.
