3M executive joins global business organisation

The executive vice-president for international operations with 3M, Inge G Thulin, has been elected as a vice-chair of the United States Council for International Business (USCIB), it has emerged.

According to USCIB president Peter M Robinson, this appointment will further demonstrate the leadership of 3M in the global marketplace and “reconfirms the company’s valuable role as a cornerstone of support for USCIB in the mid-west region”.

Mr Robinson added that Mr Thulin will bring “considerable international experience and perspective to USCIB”.

Mr Thulin joined 3M in 1979 and succeeds former 3M executive vice-president of international operations as a senior trustee on the USCIB board.

He claimed he was “delighted to take on the challenge” of working to develop the effectiveness and visibility of USCIB on a global scale.

Founded in 1902, 3M employs around 69,000 people worldwide. The firm provides a number of medical products, including the Tengaderm family of dressings and the Littmann range of stethoscopes.
