Accura announces new diagnostics launch
Animal health solutions firm Accura has launched a new product in the UK that will aim to give veterinary experts an easier way to establish the health level of a particularly animal.
An agreement has been reached that will see Accura’s subsidiary Tridelta Development – through its partner Genitrix – distribute C-reactive protein testing kits to help vets diagnose certain illnesses among “companion pets” around the country.
C-reactive protein has been assessed as an indicator of the general health of human beings for years and Accura is hoping its testing products will make the system more commonly use to identify health problems for animals of various animals of various kinds.
“It is anticipated that this agreement will be followed by further agreements for other European countries, the USA and Japan,” said Bernard Ross, Accura’s chief executive.
Products developed by Accura are currently being sold in almost 40 countries worldwide and it describes these animal health solutions as being “stable, proven and poised for considerable growth”.
