Covance presents at May conferences

Covance has appeared at two conference presentations this month.

The global drug-developing giant revealed last month that it would present at the RW Baird 2008 Growth Stock Conference on May 13th and the Bank of America 2008 Health Care Conference the following day.

It claimed investors would be able to watch the appearances via live webcast streamings on the company’s website.

With its headquarters in New Jersey, Covance claims to be one of the world’s largest drug development services operating in 20 countries with annual revenues greater than £1.4 billion (£700 million).

It recently appointed the former vice chairman of the Biotechnology Industry Organisation board, Joseph Scodari, to its board of directors.

The firm’s chief executive and chairman, Joe Herring, said the company was "very pleased" to have Mr Scodari on the board as he had enjoyed a "distinguished 34-year career as a key leader in the industry".
