Nalco rises energy prices

13th June 2008

Nalco has announced its price increases for its energy services customers.

The integrated water treatment and process improvement firm announced on Monday (June 9th) it would be raising the price to North American customers.

According to the firm, the increase of 20 per cent for energy services to downstream customers is effective immediately and in addition to price increases earlier this year.

The company said in a statement: "The price increase is driven by increased energy and raw material costs, tightening availability of some raw materials and rising freight costs."

It added the firm’s energy services account managers would contact individual customers to discuss the rises.

Meanwhile, last month the company created a method to help ethanol producers solve water issues by taking a holistic approach.

The firm claims to be the world’s leading water treatment and process improvement company, delivering significant environmental, social and economic benefits to a variety of industries.
