Metrohm release low pressure gradient tool
Metrohm analysis has released a new low pressure gradient tool for use in method development.
The firm believes the 850 Professional Anion MCS Low Pressure Gradient offers an alternative to its high pressure Professional Ion Chromatography range.
A company statement said: "The low-pressure gradient unit is also a very useful tool for method development as it can be used as an eluent selector for automatic switching between three different eluents so method development can be performed automatically overnight."
The news follows last month’s release of the 856 Conductivity Module which the firm claims is the most sophisticated autotitration system on the market.
Earlier in the year the firm released a titrimetric analysis for the quality control of biofuels.
Its DIN EN 14214 stipulates a non-aqueous potentiometric acid-base titration for determining the acid number and a redox titration with sodium thiosulfate solution for the determination of iodine.
Metrohm claims to be synonymous with potentiometric titration.
