Prio Scientific launches NanoScanZ

Prior Scientific claims its new universal Piezo focusing inserts will bring a great level of performance and convenience to research imaging applications.

The firm states its NanoScanZ Piezo focusing stage insert has the ability to create Z stacks with nanometre precision and a speed of 50 frames per second.

A company statement said: "Prior Scientific are proud to announce two new versions of the NanoScanZ insert featuring 100µm and 200µm travel ranges that are designed to fit both motorised and manual XY stages.

The product is sold by companies such as Zeiss, Leica, Olympus and Nikon, it adds.

Prior said the system is already supported in many of leading imaging software packages.

Meanwhile, the company recently released a new ProScan range for use in the semi-conductor industry and is offering a travel range of the product as well.

The UK firm produces a wide range of scientific instrumentation and specialises in microscope automation, microscopy and tailor made custom solutions.
